Abstract

Knowledge of music and commitment to its foundations and scientific structure have an undeniable contribution in the shaping and engineering of meaningful and effective recitation. The role and position of musical literature in the realization of this importance makes it necessary to research and explain how to use musical components in the recitation of the Holy Quran in a specialized and methodical way. This research, with descriptive-analytical method, deals with the need for the reader to benefit from musical knowledge and the level of its effectiveness in recitation, and to what extent the components of musical knowledge can be implemented in meaning-oriented recitation, and what role its application can play in the realization of meaning-oriented recitation. It seems that reciting without understanding and conveying the intended meaning of the verses does not adequately fulfill the purpose of the Qur'an,which is to address the dimension of human guidance to achieve worldly and hereafter happiness, and this shows the necessity of meaning-oriented recitation.A recitation that evokes the meaning of the verses in the mind and leads the audience to think about the deep meanings of the verses. The main research question is,what musical components are there in conveying the correct meaning to the listeners of the divine word? The evidence indicates that paying attention to stress as one of the important musical components can play a key role in providing meaning-oriented recitation and correct transmission of the meaning of the verses to the audience and remove the doubt of inducing the incorrect meaning to the audience.
